Culture, Learning and Technology Division Awards
The submissions sought in the CLT division invite research, professional, and personal perspectives in exploring, reflecting, and investigating how to open new culturally-situated paths of knowledge in our discipline, and what skills, knowledge, and perspectives that are fundamental to the intersection of culture, learning, and technology to ensure our meaningful and responsible contribution to the fields for impactful design of learning experiences.
CLT seeks submissions from researchers and scholar-practitioners that expressly investigate and critically analyze the relationships between culture, learning, and technology in education, politics, economics, science, the arts, business, health, military, labor, and all other segments of society. Additionally, CLT seeks submissions that look at digital access for borderlands, digital deserts, inner cities, rural areas, and immigrant and refugee connectivity for inclusion in a fair digital economy and reflect on often unquestioned assumptions and hidden narratives of the current neoliberal positioning of our institutions, processes, and world view.
We encourage submissions that address what may be traditionally underrepresented and historically excluded groups or populations, including social justice, equity and inclusion aspects related to gender, racial, and social-economic status. Award submitters should address the theme of culture explicitly in their submission and explain why their submission should be considered for the Culture, Learning, and Technology division.
