Vision and Mission
The vision of AECT’s Education in the Health Professions–Special Interest Group (EDHP–SIG) is to help “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” To achieve our vision, the EDHP–SIG seeks to advance the professional practice of healthcare professionals and instructional designers by fostering transdisciplinary collaboration and communications, promoting immersion and the sharing of ideas and resources, and facilitating evidence-based education, training, and professional development of healthcare professionals and their clients.
Join the EDHP-SIG
AECT members can join the EDHP-SIG through the AECT Higher Logic Community Directory. From the top menu, select "Communities" and then "All Communities." Locate the "Education in Health Profession Special Interest Group" and click "Request to Join." Select your email contact preferences to set your preferred frequency of updates from the EDHP-SIG.

Use the Quick Links section to view the community Website, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. The EDHP website contains a resource wall and detailed information on evidence-based approaches, transdisciplinary collaboration, and technology integration.
The events tab allows you to access upcoming events. Click on a meeting in the list to view meeting information, locate the Zoom meeting link, and download a link to add the event to your calendar.
The announcements and discussion board sections display recent EDHP posts. To view a history of all discussion topics, click on "Division Home" from the top menu, and select "Discussion"
