Excellence in Service as President to the Learner Engagement Division
NO SELF-NOMINATION
Purpose
This award recognizes an individual who has made exceptional, sustained contributions to the mission, growth, and impact of the Learning Engagement Division (LED) as its President. It honors a LED member whose efforts have significantly advanced the division’s goals and strengthened the LED community. This award is presented annually after the completion of term of service as president and the individual transitions to the role of immediate past president to ensure recognition of excellence and impactful contributions to the division.
Eligibility
- The nominee must demonstrate significant contributions as a leader serving as LED President.
- The nominee must be an active member of the Learner Engagement Division and of AECT.
- Nomination may be submitted by an LED board member.

Selection
The LED Board members coordinate, review, and approve the nomination.The awardee is notified before AECT's annual convention, where the award is presented.
Nomination Procedures
To submit a nomination, use the nomination form linked below. Complete the form and provide any additional information that may assist the awards committee. Name supporting files using the year (e.g., 2026), nominee's last name (e.g., SMITH), award name (Leadership), and a number (e.g., 1), separated by underscores (e.g., 2025_SMITH_Leadership_1). Acceptable file formats are .doc and .pdf.
A LED Board member (not the current president) may nominate for this award. For questions or technical issues with the nomination form, contact the designated LED Board member.
