Learner Engagement Division Awards

Without the service of outstanding individuals, the LED would not be as successful and active as it is. Each year, the LED awards individuals and groups within the academic and corporate communities who have contributed innovative ideas and materials to the advancement of learner engagement. Recipients are awarded at AECT’s annual convention.

 

Different methods are used to determine the winner of each award, but all awards are based on the LED’s principle definition of learner engagement, which is: Learner engagement refers to the active and meaningful involvement of students or learners in the learning process. It involves the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral investment of learners in their educational experiences.
