Purpose 

The Technology Integrated Learning (TIL) Division is committed to supporting practitioners and scholars across K–12 and higher education through:

  • Generating scholarship that examines and tests the implementation of innovative methods, learning theories, and educational technologies in diverse learning environments.
  • Informing policy decisions in online learning, School Librarianship, and instructional technology through research that prioritizes effectiveness, equity, and inclusivity.
  • Developing and fostering partnerships among schools, universities, and educational organizations to support meaningful and sustainable technology integration in teaching and learning.

Our Inquiry Focus

We are dedicated to exploring the frontiers of learning by investigating:

  • How learning is shaped by interactions among people, technologies, and contexts.
  • The responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies, including AI and data systems, in education.
  • Inclusive and learner-centered design practices that respond to diverse needs and experiences.
  • Innovation in instructional design that enhances engagement, accessibility, and learner agency.
  • The transformative potential of research-practice partnerships that inform and improve real-world implementation of technology-enhanced learning.
